第10回 高校生理科研究発表会  講演内容



題目: 「Pathways to Global Citizenship」

講演者: 株式会社 @アジア・アソシエイツ・ジャパン 代表取締役 正宗エリザベス 先生

内容: The students of today are the global citizens of tomorrow. In Japan, as in every other country around world, their dreams, aspirations, and career choices will shape the next generation to come and the societies we live in. The digital platforms that have now become such an integral part of our daily lives have also made the world a "global village", bringing all of us closer to each other and to opportunities to extend our horizons beyond borders, cultures and geographies. We have online friends that we would probably never have encountered a decade ago, and we share our opinions, hopes and fears in real time with an increasingly more globally savvy audience.
    For all this interconnectedness, the possibilities of tomorrow can still appear quite overwhelming if we feel unprepared. What does it really mean to be a global citizen in today's world? Which pathways should we follow? What are the real skills that will define and shape the journey that awaits? For all of the changes in today's volatile global environment, these are perennial questions facing all young students as they stand at the cross roads of life. They have always been thus, and always will be. There are many thways to global citizenship - this lecture will serve as a guide to some of  the signposts along the way.

題目: 「宇宙開発における私の経験と理科研究発表会で思ったこと」

講演者: 宇宙航空研究開発機構(JAXA)チーフエンジニア室特任担当役 白水正男 先生

内容: 講演者は宇宙航空研究開発機構(JAXA)において宇宙や航空に関する研究開発を行なってきました。また、昨年の理科研究発表会では審査委員を務めました。講演では、JAXAにおける自身の研究開発活動の一部を紹介するとともに、中学〜高校でのサークルからJAXAにおける研究開発に至る講演者の経験に基づいて、 高校生の皆さんが“研究”について考えていっていただきたいことについてお話ししたいと思います。講演の前半では、講演者らが行なった極超音速飛行実験( HYFLEX)などについて紹介します。HYFLEXは日本版スペースシャトルとも呼ばれ たHOPEの開発に先立つ飛行実験のひとつとして行なわれたもので、我が国最初の極超音速(最高マッハ数15)の揚力体の飛行です。HOPEの開発は残念ながら中断 しましたが、HYFLEXは、同様の飛行実験(IXV)が一昨年にヨーロッパ宇宙機関 (ESA)でも行なわれたことでも分かるように非常に先駆的な飛行実験でした。講演では、機体の設計をどのような考え方で行なったかなど、写真の紹介などを 交えて身近に感じてもらえるように工夫しながらお話しし、再使用宇宙輸送システムの未来についても触れます。後半では、講演者の中学〜高校時代のサークル活動やJAXAにおける研究開発活動を振り返りながら、昨年の理科研究発表会で発表を見せていただいてすばらしいと感心したことや課題と思われたことなどを整理し、これからのサークル活動や、研究者になるならないにかかわらず“研究心” をもった若い皆さんに期待すること、考えていっていただきたいことなどをお話 しします。 


題目: 「Intel ISEF 2016から見えてきた課題研究」

講演者: 市川学園市川高等学校 中島哲人 先生

内容: 今回Intel ISEF 2016(インテル国際学生科学技術フェア)に同行し、視察から見えてきた課題研究のあり方について報告します。高校生たちが科学技術分野での研究の頂点を目指して集まる、半世紀以上続く世界最大の高校生向けコンテストです。今回も、ナノ粒子、ペロブスカイト太陽電池、還元型グラフェンなど大学での研究、大学院生や研究者と肩を並べる研究成果が多数出品されました。レベルは非常に高いと思います。

題目: 「A report about “intel ISEF 2016”」

講演者: Minoru Kobara at Chiba municipal Chiba high school

内容:  Thanks to Chiba University, I got an opportunity to visit and see “intel ISEF 2016”. This is the competition for scientific research work by high school students from all around the world.
 You may think that the world-wide competition is so tough for you, but it’s basically very similar to the competition of scientific research in Chiba University except that they have to communicate in English. You may say, “I’m good at reading and writing English, but I’m not good at speaking English”. Actually, you need to practice. As a first step, I
recommend your making presentation in English in a class. And I also recommend you to ask questions and answer questions in English. It should become familiar situation for you.
 A finalist said, “Your enthusiasm and confidence can make your thoughts understood.” If you have enthusiasm and confidence, you’ll be a world- wide competitor in the near future.
Let me show you one of the scenes from “intel ISEF 2016”
      Where are you from?
      What is your main topic?
      Why did you choose the topic?
      What have you found out?
      What are you going to do as the next step?
      Where have you done this research?
      What is your role? (How is your role sharing?)
These questions would not be difficult to answer.
 Another finalist said “I have had lots of discussions with my teachers.
Through the discussions, I could think deeper. Now, I have come to like my research work more.”
Work hard! Have fun!! Make history!!!
If you work hard, you would understand a thing. If you understand the thing, you can enjoy the process. Then you get crazy about the thing and you would go beyond your limit. Once you go beyond the limit, you will have already created history without knowing it.
 They say, “Luck is also a part of your ability.” But, I’m confident that changing luck into an opportunity is a part of your ability.
 Let’s try anyway. You can do it!

If you work hard, you would understand a thing.
If you understand the thing, you can enjoy the process.
Then you get crazy about the thing and you would go beyond your limit.
Once you go beyond the limit, you will have already created history.
